A mere seven days after it began, today we had to wake up early
once again to catch a plane, only this time it was to return home.
During the middle of our hike yesterday we found out that the second
leg of our originally scheduled flight had been cancelled, meaning
we could fly to Houston as planned, but then we would be stuck.
Thankfully, Tara was able to find us another flight, though instead
of Houston to Tampa we would now have a layover in Denver and would
fly into Sarasota instead. We didn’t have any issues with either
flight, as both were light on passengers – especially the Denver to
Sarasota leg, which had approximately 20 people on a 150-seat plane.
We even arrived in Sarasota early, and we were glad that Grandma
Terry lives close and was able to pick us up from the airport.
We made it home safely, albeit a little bit tired. Needless to
say, it was an early bedtime for us tonight! |

This was a fun week for our family. We got to see stuff in and
around Tucson that we had no idea existed and probably never would
have done on our own, such as the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the
Pima Air & Space Museum, and Old Tucson. We also got to make the
drive to the Grand Canyon, which is something that all of us wanted
to experience. We all truly appreciate the fact that they flew us
out to see them. Until next time! |
