Game 1

This afternoon's game represented Jayden's return to soccer (well, outside of the school's soccer fields anyway). Today was a match-up between the two Florida Hawks rec teams, and the coaches let the girls decide the roster of the two teams by holding a "draft." I'm not really sure why they just didn't let the teams stand as they were in practice the other night, but... who I am to try to figure things out.

Thankfully for Jayden the team that she ended up on would dominate the majority of the contest. They would get on the board first, scoring on their first shot of the game. Although Jay didn't get the start today, she would hit the turf before the water break, playing in her preferred defensive position. Shortly after she entered the game, her team would double their lead by adding a second goal. The two teams would trade chances for the remainder of the half, but it was the opposition who would find success, scoring just before the halftime whistle to make it a 2-1 game.

Jayden started the second half playing defense, but she didn't see much action on her side of the field. Her team would dominate the ball for most of the half, and would score two additional goals (one before and one after the water break). The opposing team got the last couple of shots on goal, but the couldn't convert on either of them. The 4-1 score gave Jay and her teammates the victory over their other squad.
