Tara, Drew, and Jayden played hooky from work and school today,
so they came to join us at the condo last night. This morning we
enjoyed a relaxing start to our day along with a big breakfast
before we got ourselves ready to head out to the park. Once again,
it was off to the Magic Kingdom for some fun. Today marked my second
trip to this park this week, and the third trip for Grandpa Gary,
Grandma Terry, and Uncle Steve (they also went with Aunt Erica and
Marissa on Monday), so I didn't end up taking as many pictures
today. As is required for a visit to the Magic Kingdom, our first
stop of the day was at the Transportation & Ticket Center, where we
would board the ferry boat to the park. Once we made it through the
gate, we headed off to Fantasyland to get a Disability Access
Service (DAS) pass for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. With some
time to kill, we wandered around Fantasyland for a bit, before
decided that we would wander over to Liberty Square to take in the
show at The Hall of Presidents.
Once we finished up with the presidents, it was back to
Fantasyland to climb aboard the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Fun
ride as always - if only it was a little bit longer! While we were
still in Fantasyland we headed over to Under the Sea ~ Journey of
The Little Mermaid, a ride we haven't been on in a long time. By
this point in the day we were getting hungry, so we found a spot
that we could sit down and enjoy the lunches that we packed.
With our bellies full, we headed back out to find our next
destination. We opted for the Jungle Cruise, signing up for a
DAS pass. The wait wasn't terrible, so we hung out in the general
ride area until it was our turn. We got to see the "new" ride as a
family for the first time, and still laughed at the "punny" jokes!
Our next destination was Frontierland, where we signed up for our
next DAS pass, this time for Splash Mountain. While we waited
for our turn to ride, we headed over to Big Thunder Mountain
Railroad, which is definitely one of our favorite Disney
coasters! From one mountain to another, we finally got our turn on
Splash Mountain. Thankfully none of us got super-soaked,
though all of us who rode definitely got wet!
It was at this time that Drew and I had to head out, as he had a
hockey game in Tampa tonight, and after missing one already due to
this anniversary celebration, we decided that we better make an
effort to attend this one. Because of us leaving for the game, I
don't have any evening updates or pictures from the parks. We'll be
back for tomorrow, however! |
