Game 9

I wasn't able to attend today's Riverview Ice Sharks games due to work, so I don't have a lot of commentary to share about today's games. About all that I can share is that through the first two periods, the shots were even - 10 shots apiece in the first and 7 shots each in the second. Unfortunately, it was the Ice Sharks who took the games only two penalties, also both in the first period. Thankfully the team was able to kill off both penalties, but even still they found themselves down by two goals after the first period came to a close. Neither team would find the back of the net in the second, but it would be the combined Manatee-Sarasota-Palmetto team would score the lone goal in the third period. The Ice Sharks didn't put up much of a fight in the final frame, getting outshot by a 13-1 margin, which makes it impossible to mount a comeback at that pace. The end result wound up being a 3-0 defeat for the Riverview squad.1
