Drew was selected to be a two-way player for school's hockey team, the Riverview Ice Sharks, this season, which would have allowed him to play for both the varsity and junior varsity teams. Part of the way through the season he decided that it would be best for him to focus on the JV team only. Drew is once again wearing his #30 jersey.
