I have a few updates to share with you this week. My first addition to the site involves a bit of news - Jayden tried out for, and made, the Riverview High School varsity soccer team this season, and they have played in their first two preseason games already. I have added the schedule to Jayden's Current Events page, which you can see by clicking on the RVHS Sharks Soccer link. You can also see the pictures and read my game recaps from that page as well.

The second update is the addition of Drew's Riverview Ice Sharks hockey game, which you can see pictures from and read my recap by going to Drew's Current Events page, following the "Updated!" icons and then clicking on Game 11 on the 2022-23 Varsity page.

I said that I had a few updates to share following my previous post, but I actually only have half as many as I promised. Drew played in his two games with his Riverview Ice Sharks hockey team, but Jayden didn't not get to play in her games with her Florida Hawks soccer club. I am finally getting around to posting some of the most recent updates to the website, even though I am going to skip the events from last night and today... for now. As for the updates I am actually sharing, I have Drew's sixth game of the season for the Riverview Ice Sharks (I'm waiting on last night's game 7) available on his Current Events page, along with pictures of both Drew and Jayden prior to their homecoming dance - those pictures are available on both of their Current Events page as well. Finally, on the main Current Events page, I have added several photos of the Hurricane Ian aftermath that we witnessed.

I am finally getting around to posting some of the most recent updates to the website, even though I am going to skip the events from last night and today... for now. I have a quick update today, all of which is related to Jayden and the Florida Hawks FC soccer club. Jay was also asked to play for the U19 Florida Hawks FC team during this past weekends Chargers Tournament, and you can now find the schedule and game results and photos on her Florida Hawks FC Current Events page (I also have the game results for her usual U17 teams games as well).

Things are about to get extremely busy for us here, as we are just getting underway with the heart of the sports season. I am going to do my best to keep the site up to date as best as I can, but likely will fall behind from time to time. With that prospect ahead of me, I am going to get an update posted before the busy Labor Day weekend and all that will follow afterwards.

Jayden and her Florida Hawks FC soccer team has already played several games, the latest of which you can find on her Florida Hawks FC Current Events page. Jay was also asked to play for the U19 Florida Hawks FC team on an as-needed basis, which you can now also find on her Florida Hawks FC Current Events page. In addition to these games, we also now have the schedule for this coming weekends Chargers Tournament, which can also be found on her Florida Hawks FC Current Events page.

Although Drew and his Varsity Riverview Ice Sharks hockey games have yet to start, those games will be coming up soon as well. You can check out the schedule on his Ice Sharks Hockey Current Events page.

It has only been a few days since I have last updated the site, but I wanted to add this past weekend's games for Jayden and her Florida Hawks FC soccer team. Their first game ended in a 1-1 draw, and their second in a loss. Jay only got to play in the second game, so I have added that to the site. It has been quite a bit of time since I have last updated the site, and we have done a few things that I am finally getting around to adding today. Up first, we have made two visits to Walt Disney World. The first trip was with Grandpa Gary, Grandma Terry, Drew, Jayden, and myself, with Samantha joining us in the afternoon after work. The second trip was Tara and I spending the day at Epcot for the International Food & Wine Festival.

The kids are back in school - Drew for his senior year, and Jayden for her sophomore year. You can find the photos from their first day of school on their respective Current Events page. With a return to school comes a return to sports as well. Drew tried out for and was selected to play on the Riverview Ice Sharks varsity hockey team. I have added the 2022-23 Varsity page to his Current Events page as well, though I am awaiting a schedule to finish the page out. Jayden tried out for the competitive travel soccer team for the Florida Hawks FC, where she has played recreational soccer over the past couple of seasons, and was selected to join their U17 team. They played their first game today, resulting in a 1-1 draw. You can find the information for her games by clicking the 2022-23 DPL link on her Current Events page.

Not a lot of commentary from me today - just the updates to the website. Since I had a lot of free time as I spent the majority of this weekend by myself (well, that is a lie - I had the dogs to keep me company), I was finally able to get caught up on the website updates. There are a few new additions to the site this time, all related to one of three things: Drew, Jayden, and Walt Disney World.

I will mention Drew's updates first. He has played in two additional hockey games for his high school spring team, both of which resulted in losses. You can see and read about these two games by going to the Current Events page, then clicking on Drew, then Ice Sharks Hockey, then finally 2022 Spring. From there look for the "New" icons next to the links.

Up next is Jayden. She too played in two more games for her Florida Hawks rec team's spring season, which also resulted in losses. Like you did for Drew's updates, you can see and read about these updates by going to the Current Events page, then clicking on Jayden, then Florida Hawks FC, then finally 2022 Spring. From there look for the "New" icons next to the links.

Last but not least, I have added a couple of updates to our Walt Disney World page. Up first, I have added a picture of the latest popcorn bucket to Buckets & Sippers page. I have also added the pictures from our latest trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom and then moved on to Epcot, where we took part in the passholder preview of the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster ride. I have a few updates to add this time around. Here they go...

Drew has a couple of updates to his Riverview Ice Sharks hockey page. First, 2021-22 JV team got together for the final time, at their end of the season gathering at Splitsville Southern + Social, a bowling alley/restaurant/bar type place in Tampa. Additionally, Game 2 of the 2022 Spring season has been added to the Drew - Ice Sharks Hockey - 2022 Spring page.

Jayden also has played in two games for the Florida Hawks soccer team during the 2022 Spring season, which you can find by going to the Jayden - Florida Hawks FC page - 2022 Spring page.

It has been nearly a month since my last update, and I have a lot to add this time around...

Up first is the addition of Walt Disney World to the Current Events page. There have been two visits to the happiest place on Earth since my last update, and you can see both of them here!

Drew has a couple of updates to his Riverview Ice Sharks hockey page. First, the final event of his 2021-22 JV season, the opening round of the playoffs has been added to the Drew - Ice Sharks Hockey - 2021-22 JV page. Next, the addition of the 2022 Spring season to the site includes the schedule and the information from the opening game of the season, which you can find by going to the Drew - Ice Sharks Hockey - 2022 Spring page.

Jayden also has a couple of updates to share as well. First up is the quincenera party she was invited to, which you can find on her Current Events page. She also has a 2022 Spring season to add to the site, and you can find hers by going to the Jayden - Florida Hawks FC page - 2022 Spring page.

The final addition to the site is from our visit to the Chalk Festival in Venice. You can find the pictures from our visit by going to the Current Events page.

Today's update is a quick one, as there are only two additions to the site, both of which are related to Drew's hockey. Up first is the addition of Drew's most recent two games - #21 and #22 to wrap up the regular season for the Riverview Ice Sharks. The second addition is the playoff schedule for the team so far.

Well, it has been a couple of weeks since my last update, which means that there are a few new additions to the site this time around.

Up first is the events for Jayden's Florida Hawks soccer team. As I stated here last time, the girls cruised into the second round thanks to a victory by forfeit in the opening round. They would take things to the extreme in the second round, making it to the end of the game tied before heading through two overtimes and into a shootout before coming away with the victory. That win put them into the Championship Game. You can find the game recaps and photos by following the New! and Update! icons on Jayden's Current Events page.

The second set of additions are for Drew and his Riverview Ice Sharks hockey team. They have played three more regular season games since my last update, and all of those can also be found by following the New! and Update! icons on his Current Events page.

I was right - my ability to stay up to date on the website was short-lived. It has been nearly a month since my last update, and a lot has happened since then.

Let's see... Jayden's Florida Hawks soccer team completed their regular season, and you can find the final two games by following the links on her Current Events page. The team's playoff schedule is also now posted, and they have cruised into the second round thanks to a victory by forfeit in the opening round. Jay also played in the Brandon Cup, along with a couple of her Hawks teammates, for the other Florida Hawks FC team. You can see those game pictures and recaps on the Brandon Cup page by following the links on her Current Events page.

Next up is Drew and his Riverview Ice Sharks hockey team. They have played five games since my last update, and all of those can also be found by following the links on his Current Events page.

Although I am sure that this won't last long, I am currently up to date with everything on the website! That means that all pages have recaps, pictures, and captions on them. Enjoy it while you can!

As for the actual updates this time around, there are a few. I have four games for Drew's Riverview Ice Sharks JV hockey team - games 9-12 have been added to the site this time around. Jayden and her Florida Hawks team played two games since my last update - game 9 and a rescheduled game 2 - as well as participating in the Gasparilla Cup soccer tournament. Finally, we celebrated a late Christmas by opening Grandpa Gary & Grandma Terry's gifts as we were unable to on Christmas Day (well, technically we could have, but we were holding out to celebrate with Erica and her family as well, but it wasn't working out in a timely manner). And so 2022 begins! Here's hoping that 2022 is another banner year, with lots of great things to come to not only our family, but to yours as well.

Like last update, I don't have the new additions to the site completed yet, as I am still playing catch-up on last years events. The good news is that I finally have 2021's updates completed! That includes the game 4-8 recaps and captions for Jayden's 2021-22 Fall-Winter Florida Hawks soccer games, which I completed last week. This week I have the summary and picture captions for my trip to Walt Disney World added and Jayden's 15th birthday celebration, as well as the game 7 and 8 recaps and captions for Drew's 2021-22 JV hockey games, the summaries and picture captions for Christmas, our trip to the Manatee Viewing Center, and for our trips to beach at Lido Key all completed and uploaded.

I have also added a schedule for the Gasparilla Cup soccer tournament that Jayden's soccer team will be participating in, which you can find on the Jayden's 2021-22 Fall-Winter Florida Hawks page.

Unfortunately, I still have a lot of updates to get done - Drew has played three hockey games this year, and Jay has played in two soccer games, plus we opened our Christmas gifts from Grandma Gary & Grandma Terry. Keep checking back... eventually I will get them!

And so 2022 begins! Here's hoping that 2022 is another banner year, with lots of great things to come to not only our family, but to yours as well.

With that being said, I don't have any new additions to the website today. Some general website housekeeping has been completed, moving 2021 to the Past Events page, and adding new 2022 pages. The only real updates that I have this time are the game recaps and captions for Jayden's 2021-22 Fall-Winter Florida Hawks soccer games. I fell behind last year, and this year I managed to get Games 4-8 updated.

Unfortunately, I still have a lot of updates to get done - Drew's hockey games (including two that I missed already from the second of January that I need to get added), my trip to Walt Disney World, Jayden's birthday celebration, and of course Christmas, in addition to some beach pictures from Lido Key. Keep checking back... eventually I will get them!
