Another Labor Day weekend, another trip to the St. Ignace/Mackinac Island KOA so that we can participate in the annual Labor Day Bridge Walk. We experienced very nice weather this year, with the exception of a short rainfall one evening. For more information about our trip, read the Diary here. After arriving, we spent some time at the campground to unwind from our drive, as well as to prepare dinner. After dinner we drove over to the Straits State Park to visit with my Uncle Dick & Aunt Lois and their friends for a while. Since the kids got a little bored, I took them for a walk in the woods. We also went to the scenic lookout in the park so that I could take some pictures. After lunch on Saturday we drove into town to check out the craft show. We also took the time to walk along the docks at the marina, and of course we had to visit the shops in downtown for goodies. |
