July 6th

On our last full day in Traverse City, we finally made it to the sand dunes for our hike. This was something that I would have preferred to do earlier in our trip so that we could have gone to more of the Cherry Festival, but the rain prevented that from happening. Needless to say, we enjoyed our time at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and I am sure that we will be back in the future.

Dune Climb
	Here we all are settled in for lunch before taking the trek up the hill and along the trails.

	When we reached the top of a hill where the lake came into view, this freighter was visible to us.
