Since we were up early this morning and we were ready long before it was time to eat we decided to walk back down to the hockey rink for some more fun. This time we were joined a few more kids.

Pre-Breakfast Downtime

Tyler played goal this morning.

Our breakfast this morning consisted of three cold, hard French-toast sticks. Although I ate them, they were certainly not the greatest thing in the world, nor were they my first choice. Here are a few pictures of the dining hall where we ate all of our meals.

Breakfast At The Dining Hall

The breakfast/salad bars were available at each meal.

Our morning activity was the High Ropes, which involved the kids wearing a safety belt and ropes and walking amongst the trees between 40 and 60 feet in the air. Each of the kids was partnered up with a "shadow" whose job it was to follow them along the ground and make sure that the person in the trees made the right moves. The kid in the tree also had to ask for permission from an instructor before making any moves or changing their ropes to ensure their safety. I think this would have been a very fun activity to take part in, but once again the chaperones were excluded from participating. Tyler really surprised me during this activity, largely because I know he has some amount of fear when it comes to heights. He did panic a little during one section of the course, but he wasn't the only one to do so during this particular spot. Once he calmed down and worked his way back a little bit he continued on and ended up making it the furthest amongst the kids in our groups, along with his friend Alex. Great job Tyler, I am really proud of you!

Tyler partnered up with his friend Quincy so that they could be each others shadows.

Tyler walking across the bridge. Most of the kids just held on to their ropes and walked across, but the instructor told Tyler to let go of the ropes and use his arms to balance. He did great at this one!
