Home Up

Although the temperature shows that it was warmer than it has been, it was still cold as the kids attempted to swim in the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon. They didn't make it too far into the water before all of us decided that we needed to move on to the heated swimming pool. The air temperature was still chilly though, so we didn't get to stay in the water for long.

Swimming at the Condo

Samantha, Tyler, Drew, and Jayden making their way into the Gulf of Mexico.

Tara was a little chilly watching Sam and Jay play in the water.

Sammie was by far the bravest of the kids when it came it wading out into the Gulf.

Sam urged Drew and Jay to come out and join her.

Sam standing out in the water by herself, the only one brave enough to make it this far.

Tyler ran in, but turned around and ran right back out.

Sam made it to the waist-deep water before she got too cold and had to come back in.

Drew didn't venture too far from the edge of the pool.

Tyler and Sam worked together to blow water through the noodle at Drew.

Drew responded by kicking up a bunch of water at them.

We stopped at the marina to take pictures with the "Unconditional Surrender" statue. We first took pictures of Tyler and Sam beside this statue back in 1995, before it became a permanent part of the marina scene.

Another look at Sam, Tyler, Jay, and Drew standing at the foot of the statue (literally).
