After the kids tired of the show we headed back to the van
to grab our coats. Then it was off to the Cobo People Mover station to catch a
ride to Greektown for lunch. Per tradition, we went to Pizzapapalis. The kids
weren't huge fans of the deep dish pizza, usually preferring to make their own
pizzas instead. This year only Samantha and Drew chose that option, though.
Tyler order chicken wings and Jayden opted for sgabetty (her name for
spaghetti). I ordered a calzone and Tara got a Roman club sandwich. After lunch
we stopped at Astoria Pastry Shop, where the kids picked out some giant suckers
and Tara ordered a piece of key lime pie. With our goodies in hand we headed to
Sports Mania to browse through their selection of Detroit team clothing. Once we
left here, it was back to the People Mover for the ride back to Cobo Hall. From
there it was back to the van for the ride home (by way of IKEA, but no pictures
from that little excursion...).

Drew had a lot of fun making his own personal pizza.

Sam made her own pizza as well, with pepperoni and bacon. She
wasn't happy that she had to take a break from her game to have this
picture taken.

This year Jayden and Drew got the honor of being "Elderly and
Handicapped." This privilege went to some of the other family
members in the past... here is last year's
photo, along with the
2010 and
2009 editions. This is becoming quite a tradition for the
family!
