July 4th, 2013
Tara & I woke the kids up early on the morning of July 4th
so that we could get to Fenton on time to stake out our parade location. We
managed to secure a large enough section that all of our friends and family
could join us, even with a little bit of room to spare. The kids all enjoyed the
parade, but they were disappointed that they didn't get much candy! Being
stationed near the end of the parade route doesn't help, as most of the candy
gets handed out right at the start. After the parade was over we wandered around
the downtown area for a bit, where the local bank was handing out free root beer
floats, one of the churches was giving away sno-cones, and the local photography
store had a photo booth set up for free. Once those activities were complete, it
was time to head home before partaking in our next activity (see

The county police force was next.

Although Tara commented on the back of the young lady's dress,
it was the ugly new taillights on the Camaro that was the focal
point of this picture.
