Jayden and her Riverview Lady Sharks teammates returned to the
football field following their spring break week to face off against
their rival East Bay Indians. As you can see by the score above,
there isn't a lot to report on in today's game. Neither team could
get much going throughout the game. In fact, each team had
possession for three drives in the first half - five of those ended
in punts, and the sixth came to an end when the half expired. With
all of those punts, there was no surprise by the 0-0 score. The
ball changed hands a lot more in the second half, thanks to several
interceptions by each team mixed in with a few more punts as well as
some failed fourth down attempts that resulted in turnovers. No
surprise that the game came to a close with the score still tied at
0-0. The process continued for two overtime periods, where each
team got the ball at the 10 yard line. As you can guess, neither
team scored in overtime either, before they finally decided to call
it a tie and move on to the varsity contest. Not the best game
they've played this year, but it wasn't a loss! |
