As things began to emerge from the fog we finally began to get a sense of
where we were. We could begin to clearly see the island, as well as the two
lighthouses in the area, several sailboats, and both Round and Bois Blanc
Island. Thankfully we safely made it into the dock, with sailboat docked all
around...

After we got off the boat the first thing we did was pay
for our tickets for the Mackinac Island Carriage Tour. Since we had a little bit
of time to kill before our tour began, we spent some time wandering up and down the
docks, checking out as many of the sailboats as our eyes could take in. Although
I'm not really into sailing (the sailing buff in our family is certainly Tara),
I have to admit it was a fairly awe inspiring sight...

Doud's Market. Although we didn't visit this store on the
island, Tara and Mom went to the store in St. Ignace last year and
were quite impressed.
