October 12th, 2013

While Drew and I were exploring the area near our hotel this morning, I spotted this windmill from the Dutch Village across the parking lot and decided to snap a photograph.

Dutch Village

This windmill was located inside the Dutch Village tourist attraction.

While driving around downtown Holland, Drew and I visited the Windmill Island Gardens. I was disappointed to learn that the windmill was undergoing some extensive renovation, meaning that I would be unable to get any good pictures of it. On the bright side, since the windmill was closed for the renovation admission to the area was free! Regardless of the windmill status, I took some pictures of our visit anyway.

A look at the windmill undergoing renovation.

A look at the "village" near the windmill.

Another shot of Drew standing with the small version of the windmill.

A look back at the drawbridge and the windmill.

Some cool trees nearly hiding a building behind them.

A railroad bridge located nearby.

Finally, a few more pictures of the hotel...

A look at the Michigan shaped indoor swimming pool.

The hotel had a "sport court" outside, including two basketball hoops.
